School Counseling Mission Statement

The mission of the Gubser Elementary School Counseling Program is to educate and empower all students to become caring, responsible individuals who are literate, informed, and contributing members of the community by facilitating the academic, career and personal/social growth of all learners through the collaboration of staff, parents, students and community partnerships.

About Miss Mills

I am happy to be in my 16th year as the Gubser School Counselor. Although my School Counseling Licensure is for all levels, I really enjoying working at the elementary level and watching children grow socially, emotionally and academically.

I graduated from Portland State University with my Masters of Science in School Counseling and I am a Licensed Professional School Counselor through the state of Oregon.

When I am not at work, I can typically be found out in nature running, biking, hiking/backpacking, or doing something fun on the water like kayaking or stand up paddle boarding. I added surfing to that list this past summer, but the ocean definitely won :) I also love to read, listen to live music and spend time with family and friends.
